Somali Football Federation has praised GOOLFM and GOOL TV for playing a greater role in the promotion of football in the country, as the sports broadcasting Radio station celebrates its 5th anniversary.

"On behalf of Somali Football Federation, I would like to congratulate GOOLFM, the first sports broadcasting radio station established in Somalia on their 5^th anniversary. Now the station has Gool TV which is also another good step forward” Somali FA director of communications, Shafi’i Mohyaddin Abokar, said in a statement.

"Somali FA praises the owner of the station, Senator Abshir Bukhari, the station management and all staffers for the good job they are doing in terms of football development” the statement reads. He added that the establishment of the station was a good creativity, as other radio stations and TVs dedicated to only sports are now operating in Somalia.

This radio station has so far played a key role in the promotion of sport in general and in particularly football in the country. Thanks to the colleague journalists at the station for the creation fantastic programs and making live coverage of all football competitions in the country. "We wish them to step into a higher development in the years to come” Somali Football Federation official said in his statement on Wednesday.
