The president of Somali Football Federation, Abdiqani Said Arab, has sent a congratulatory letter to the newly-elected president of the world football's governing body [FIFA] Gianni Infantino following his triumph in Friday's FIFA presidential election.

"I would like to express my cordial felicitations and best wishes to you on this special occasion of your election as FIFA president” president Abdiqani Said Arab, of Somali Football Federation, said in his congratulatory letter to the new FIFA Boss, Gianni Infantino.

"I believe that your many years of knowledge and experience in the administration of the beautiful game, will certainly play an important role in your efforts to develop world football and in particularly in that of less- developed countries. As a country we admire and fully support your manifesto towards the development of football” the Somali FA president noted in his message.

The congratulatory letter read "I wish you every success in your new role as the leader of the world football”.
