The referees who are between 21-24 years of age were awarded
with their certificates in a colourful ceremony held at the national technical
centre here in Djibouti on Friday in the presence of high profile football officials.

Hassan Waberi who addressed at the closing ceremony said that the talented
referees were shortlisted from scores of previously trained referees and they
will be undergoing further trainings once in every six months.
"This training is part of a long term refereeing development program under the theme of ‘talent referees’ which is to train and develop young age referees and as long as we are still in the leadership we are committed to making it successful” President Souleiman Hassan Waber told the closing ceremony on Friday.
The president noted that according to his federation’s
work plans they were intending to have more than 100 new and talented referees
in the next two years.
The week-long refereeing course was conducted by local
instructors who are technical instructors: Hassan Moussa Rirach, Aden Robleh
Rayaleh and fitness instructor Mohamed Hussein Ali, while President Souleiman
Hassan Waberi an experienced referee instructor and FIFA commissioner was also
helping to teach at the course.
