This was the first season in history that Djiboutian
people had enjoyed in unprecedented football events including the country’s
first ever beach soccer tournament.

season included: Women’s football league, the championships of Division A,
Division B and Division C and as well as the Djibouti cup, the youth football
tournament, the regional competition and many others.
The President of Djibouti Football Federation Mr.
Souleiman Hassan Waberi told the closing ceremony that he was very grateful to
all those who helped his federation to accomplish such successful job most
notably the sponsor companies.
"In one respect this is the end of the marathon jobs we
have been doing during the season, but in the other respect I can say that
something is still far from end, as there is a long way ahead” president Souleiman
Hassan Waberi told the closing ceremony of the season over night on Tuesday.
The Mayor of Djibouti Mr. Hussein Abdillahi Kayad who
concluded the ceremony said that his administration was happy with the way of
football continuation in the country and in particularly the capital where
thousands of youths were swerved from use of drugs and taught football.
"Football is a major job creation sector—I am saying this
because I know that many boys and girls who were jobless just two years ago are
now playing for local clubs and are earning their monthly wages whatsoever it
would be” the Mayor of Djibouti told the ceremony before announcing the end of
