The Hospital/SDC group FC routed their Haji Dide FC rivals by 3-0
in the last match of the competition to confirm their league title of the year.
The division B league winners were presented the trophy
during a very colourful ceremony held at the National technical centre on
Tuesday in the presence of high profile officials from the ministry of sport, president
Souleiman and his executive committee members and as well as representatives
from key sponsor companies in the country.
Djibouti Football
Federation President Souleman Hassan Waberi told the conclusion ceremony that
although the country’s first and second leagues of the year have come to an end
there were still too many activities to be carried out before the end of the
year according to their annual activity plans.
Director of sport for the ministry of youth and sport Mr. Houssein kahye said that the government of the republic of
Djibouti was fully satisfied with the successive activities being carried out
by the FDF adding that his ministry was intending to increase its assistance to
the federation.
"The FDF is the frontrunner of all sporting activities in the
country—for the past two years we have witnessed a number of activities
including some that we had never seen in Djibouti like the launch of the
country’s first ever beach soccer tourney” the director noted adding that the
revival of women’s football was also something more tangible.
