Bashir Mahmoud Gesey, member of Somali Football Federation executive committee and chairperson of its Futsal committee has been seriously wounded in motorbike accident the weekend.

Mr. Gesey left office and was riding his motor-bike toward home when a buss collided with his bike and knocked him down over the weekend, according to Somali Football Federation.

 

The SFF said in a statement that Mr. Gesey immediately vomited blood and became unconscious when admitted to the Daynile hospital outside the capital Mogadishu.

 

“Gesey is still at the hospital and his condition has been deteriorating since the accident went place on Friday evening---we pray for him an immediate and full recovery” the Somali Football Federation president Said Mahmoud Nur said in his press statement on Tuesday.

 

Bashir Mahmoud Gesey has been serving as Somali Football Federation executive committee member for the past 15 years and he recently lead a delegation of Elman FC to the CECAFA Kagame Club cup in Tanzania where the young Africans of Tanzania won the trophy.
