Mr. Waberi, who is also the president of Djiboutian
Football federation, said that he has been closely keeping an eye on the actions
of the CAF referees during 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifiers this week and he is
vehemently impressed by the continental referees’ performances.
"I am fully satisfied with the performance of
the referees for the 2018 FIFA World Cup preliminary matches played in Africa
this week. The performance by our African referees impressed me very well” CAF
executive committee member and referees’ committee boss, Mr. Souleiman Hassan
Waberi, said.
"Their refereeing was 100% excellent. Congratulations to them. This is a sign for the big changes of development initiated by CAF president, Ahmed Ahmed and that change of progress will continue” Mr. Waberi explained.
He said that nobody speaks
when the referees do a great job, but they are only criticized when they commit
mistakes. "Let us praise our referees for the excellent performance” Mr.
Waberi, said.
