Somali Football Federation headquarters has been closed down for 7 days to mourn for the death of executive committee member Osman Jama Diraa who was killed in the capital on Thursday evening.
During an extraordinary executive committee meeting on
Saturday, the decision to close the headquarters was reached. All
football-related activities will also stop for a period of seven days from
Saturday.
"We have lost a great friend and a brother, who has spent
much of his life time for the development of the game. The seven days is just a
fixed mourning, but he will always be remembered by all of us. His death is a
great loss for us” SFF president, Abdiqani Said Arab, said in a statement after
the decision to close the headquarters and to stop all football-related activities
was taken by the SFF executive committee on Saturday.
